E started reading by himself tonight with Pete the Cat books: Five Little Pumpkins and Five Little Ducks 😂

Not real food

(On way home from school)
E: Mommy, you cook food and while I'll wait for you to be done I'll watch TV.
M: How come you don't ask Daddy to cook?
E: Daddy doesn't cook real food, only pancakes and waffles for breakfast.  He cooks them on the grill.
D: I make the pancakes and waffles from scratch using different ingredients.  It's real food!
M: I don't make the fancy pancakes and pandan waffles.  Daddy makes them better.
E: Yeah, he uses better ingredients.

E :Mommy, today is your special day, but I'm still a child and so you have to take care of me.
